Meet the Teacher
Hannah
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by the past. Some of my
fondest memories from primary school involve dressing up as an ancient Egyptian
and designing pottery inspired by Ancient Greece. This ongoing interest led me
to study history at university to master’s level and eventually to pursue a
career in education. I taught History at GCSE and A level for over a decade and
continue to be an examiner.
I firmly believe in the power of history to help us comprehend the complexities of the modern world and our place within it, while also encouraging us to ask questions and think critically. Besides its educational value, I love that it’s also a subject full of limitless drama and intrigue!
Outside of work, I am a mum to two wonderful little boys with boundless energy. When I find the time, I enjoy nothing more than going for a run, reading and attempting to stay upright on my paddleboard.
