Meet the Teacher

Daisy

Science has been an important feature in my entire life. From following round caterpillars at 4 years old, to studying evolutionary genetics at university. I was never satisfied with just simply what something did, I needed to know how it did it and why it did it. After completing my Masters degree in Speciation Genomics, I began teacher training as a Teacher of Science. Fast forward 8 years and I’ve taught GCSE and A Level Science, as well as led departments through 5 different exam seasons. Any opportunity to talk science with other interested people and I’m happy to be involved.

When I’m not working, I am outdoors. Either I’m hiking mountains, walking trails with my dog Percy or I’m in the gym. As someone who has an innate love for nature, I’m never happier than when I’m out in it! On the rainy days when the outdoors just isn’t possible, I’m an avid lego builder!
